.What you need to know about Clarence Peters’ famous mother

Her name is Clarion Chukwura. She was born on July 24, 1964, but due to her beauty, it is hard to believe that she is 53 years old, so fans often wonder if Clarion Chukwura is really the mother of Clarence Peters. She is indeed a delightful and very talented lady.

Clarion Chukwura is from Anambra state, but she was born and bred in Lagos; she the only daughter of the family and has 3 brothers.

The actress got her secondary education in Queen of the Rosary College, after which she attended the Obafemi Awolowo University where she studied Acting and Speech.

At the beginning of her acting career, she worked with English theater and television. Her very first appearance on stage was at the University of Ibadan, she put up a very impressive performance and carved an indelible impression at the age of 14. This performance was very important and paved the way for her career; she felt a pleasant excitement and did not fully understand how to react to the behavior of the audience.

Many years after, it is already very difficult for the actress to recall the names of all the plays and movies she has been a part of, but all the accompanying emotions are quite clear. Despite the young age at which she started, she managed to show how talented she was on television and theatrical stage while still studying and gathering useful experience.

Her star career began at the age of 18 when the public finally saw the first really notable film in which she took part. She continued to work hard all her life, which allowed her to participate in a large number of successful projects.

Clarion Chukwura broke a new record in 1982 when she became the first actress from Nigeria to win the FESPACO best actress award at a ceremony held in Burkina-Faso.

In 1984, she studied at the University of Ife and participated in the creation of an international soap opera called “Mirror in the Sun”. Her first film in Nollywood was made in 1994, she was 30 years old at the time.

Clarion became the ambassador of UN because of her charity actions in different parts of Africa.

Why did she not abandon her son?

Celebrities are often ready to sacrifice their personal life for success in show business, but this cannot be said of Clarion Chukwura who went ahead to have a baby for Sir Shina Peters at a really early age. Many other actresses in the same scenario may have opted for an abortion to preserve their freedom and opportunities for career growth, but she made a decision which turned out to be for the best.

She gave birth to her son at the age of 17. Despite the fact that she had to put a lot of time into making sure her son got the best upbringing, she had no problems reaching significant heights in her career.

Today she is very proud of her son and never forgets to appreciate him, and it is obvious her love is pure and has nothing to do with the fact that he turned out successful; she chose to have a baby at a time when she had no idea what he would turn out to become.

The actress lost her father at the age of 11, but was convinced that he would return to her as her first child, so her pregnancy was like a sign that her father was returning to the world. Even her ex-husband knew that Clarion's father was very important to her; she struggled with the pain of his death for a long time, so the birth of her son was a relief. Right from the moment Clarence was born, his family members have called him daddy, including his grandmother.

Complicated life of a lonely mother

When Clarion Chukwura got pregnant at an early age, she was abandoned by her mother, so the only help she received at that period was from Professor Wole Soyinka, her department head. He encouraged her and implored her to stay away from hard physical tasks.

Also at the time, Punch Newspaper publisher Olu Aboderin visited Clarion’s mother and asked her to support and try to understand the condition of her daughter, but these conversations did not bring the desired result. However, after Clarence was born, his grandmother started to change her mind as she did not want to completely lose her daughter. It was quite a difficult period and Clarion cried most of the time, especially since the father of her baby was not interested in his existence. All these no longer matter to Clarion Chukwura, but at that time it seemed like a devastating blow she would not be able to recover from.

Clarion felt anger, sadness and loneliness; people around thought that being pregnant at the age of 17 was the end of life, but she was a very resilient woman; she gathered courage in her soul and began to tread new paths with her beloved son.

Raising a son

The actress's mother began to help when her son was 2 months old, and Clarion returned to her university education in Ibadan. By the time her baby was 4 months old, she was in Badagry rehearsing for her role in "The King Must Dance". The actress was not opportuned to see her child from the 2nd to 9th months of his life.

Clarence does not hold any grudges against his father who abandoned him; he is a very mature person who understands life on a high moral level. The family didn't focus on the acts of Shina Peters and didn't spend energy condemning him, instead they focused on growing stronger and supporting each other in life.

Many actors who worked with Clarion were like family to Clarence, and he respects them a lot. Despite the significant influence of his mother, Clarence is guided solely by his own opinions in work. Clarion helped him to reveal his personality and did not impose her views.

Clarion calls Clarence a child of fate. He is a product of an actress and a musician, and the best abilities and character traits from them have been passed onto him. No one forced him into the creative life he lives, he was simply born for it.

At the age of 5, Clarence picked up an interest in music and went on to perform severally at a restaurant in Lagos. At the age of 7, he made his film debut.

It is a mistake to believe that Clarence does not maintain a relationship with the father who left him. The old grievances are forgotten and now they keep in contact by phone every few days. Time has healed old wounds and the family understands that progressive people should not allow the past keep them in one place. When events cease to matter, they need to be released.

Today Clarion's acting skills are recognized by many fans of cinema art. However, the life of this woman wasn't always easy. She was betrayed, rejected and got into unsuccessful marriages, but all these events made her stronger, which can be considered an important personal victory. The actress says that her faith in God allows her move forward. She has a large internal power which is worth respecting.

Two MTV Awards Or 3 AFRIMA Awards, Which Will You Pick ?

Awards are good things in all aspect of profession. But in the entertainment section awards are seen as “gods” and most artiste crave to have these “gods” attached to their musical career. That reminds me of how Davido Jubilated when he won an award in the just concluded AFRIMA 2017, which was held in Eko hotel, lagos and also he claimed two MTV Awards in just one night. (That’s a record breaker there). Davido’s well know counterpart, Wizkid, was not left out as he grabbed 3 AFRIMA Awards. . Though the “Daddy Yo” Crooner wasn’t as jumpy and celebrative as Davido when he collected these awards. Nevertheless, they both won awards. Now the question is; Two MTV Awards Or 3 AFRIMA Awards! Which Will You Pick ?
